Welcome to ovarian cyst treatment PDF Print E-mail

Ovarian cysts are usually found in most premenopausal women and upto 15% of postmenopausal women. In most cases, these cysts are functional and benign in nature. However, in some cases these cysts can evolve into something more serious and can be threat to your health and even mortality.

Because ovarian cysts cause generic, if any, symptoms, most cases of ovarian cysts are diagnosed during a woman’s annual Pap test. During these checkups, your gynecologist will feel your ovaries to see if any swelling exists.

If any inflammation is identified, then an ultrasound may be called for. The ultrasound will help point out the shape, size and location of the ovarian cyst. Similarly, ultrasounds can highlight the type of ovarian cyst. In most cases, cysts will go away on their own. However, in more serious cases ovarian cyst treatment is needed.

Sometimes, if ovarian cysts aren't found earlier they may cause a rupture. An ovarian cyst can have potentially dangerous implications for its sufferer.

This site is aimed at educating and helping all women stay one step ahead in order to avoid any critical emergency situations. We aim to provide the right resources for all women through our articles and recommendations about ovarian cyst treatment.
